Disclosures

1. Our commitment

MESO is a paid-partnership-compliant brand. Every relationship between MESO and a creator, partner, or Founding 500 member is disclosed under FTC 16 CFR Part 255.

2. Our policy

The U.S. Federal Trade Commissions Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require that when someone talks publicly about a brand and has a material connection to that brand (money, free product, equity, early access, discount codes, commissions, employment, or family), the audience needs to know. The rule lives inside the general prohibition on deception in advertising.

MESO takes this seriously. Every creator, partner, Founding 500 member, or employee with a connection to MESO is expected to disclose that connection clearly in every public post about MESO. This page tells creators and partners exactly what to write, shows everyone what disclosure looks like, and documents how MESO audits compliance.

Who this applies to:

  • Paid creators and sponsored content partners.
  • MESOs creator partners, including anyone with an ownership stake.
  • Founding 500 members who post about the MESO referral program.
  • MESO employees, operators, and anyone with an equity or ownership connection to Meso-Sweet LLC.
  • Anyone who receives free or discounted MESO product, early access, or any other benefit in connection with posting about MESO.

3. Model creator copy

Use the per-platform card that matches where you are posting. Each card lists the required disclosure layers, sample copy you can paste, and a link to the platforms own paid-partnership policy. Variants for ownership-stake creators and Founding 500 members are included where they apply.

TikTok

Required layers

  1. Enable the Branded Content disclosure toggle in the post composer.
  2. First line of the caption, before any other text or hashtags.
  3. On-screen text overlay visible for the opening 3 seconds of the video.
  4. Spoken disclosure in the first 15 seconds if the video references receiving the product or compensation.

Notes

  • TikTok's automatic Paid partnership label is not a substitute for the caption disclosure. The FTC has published guidance that platform tools alone are not sufficient.
  • On-screen text overlay should contrast clearly with the video background and remain visible long enough to read at ordinary reading speed.
  • Audio disclosure matters because many viewers watch TikTok muted. Use both audio and on-screen text.

  1. Enable the Paid Partnership tag in the composer.
  2. First line of the caption, before any hashtag cluster.
  3. On-image text for any image that depicts the product.

  • First three lines of the caption are visible before the more fold on most phones. Put the disclosure there.
  • Do not bury the disclosure inside a block of hashtags at the end of the caption.

Required layers

  1. Stories: Paid Partnership sticker on every frame that references MESO.
  2. Stories: visible text sticker with the disclosure, high-contrast, large enough to read quickly, visible for the full duration of the frame.
  3. Reels: Paid Partnership tag in the Reel composer.
  4. Reels: first line of the caption per Feed card above.
  5. Reels: on-screen text overlay visible for the opening 3 seconds.
  6. Reels: spoken disclosure in the first 15 seconds if the Reel has narration about receiving the product.

  • Story frames are ephemeral. The text sticker must be large and high-contrast enough for viewers to read in the time they look at the frame.
  • On a Reel, the first 3 seconds get the highest attention; that is where the on-screen text belongs.

  1. In YouTube Studio, check My video contains paid promotion like a product placement, sponsorship, or endorsement in Content Declaration.
  2. Spoken disclosure in the first 30 seconds of the video.
  3. On-screen text overlay visible for 5 or more seconds in the first 30 seconds.
  4. Description first line.
  5. Pinned comment within 24 hours of publish.

Notes

  • The YouTube auto-banner disclosure lasts 10 seconds and does not replace the verbal or on-screen disclosure.
  • A disclosure at the end of a video is widely considered missable under the FTC's guidance. Opening disclosure, then a second reinforcement mid-video, is the strongest pattern for longer videos.

  • X does not currently provide a platform paid-partnership tool. The first-line text disclosure is the only layer.
  • #ad in the first three characters of a tweet is the pattern the FTC has named as effective.

4. Our monitoring commitment

How MESO keeps this honest:

  • We scan creator posts about MESO every week. The scan covers TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and Facebook and looks for posts that mention MESO, the MESO referral program, or any MESO product.
  • When we find a post that is missing a required disclosure, we contact the creator and ask for a correction or takedown within 48 hours.
  • Every creator partner signs an acknowledgement that they have read this page and understand the disclosure rules before posting.
  • We review this page at least once a year.

If you see a post about MESO that seems to be missing a required disclosure, tell us. We review every report within 48 hours.

5. Affiliate commissions

MESO does not currently run an affiliate commission program. When we do launch one, creators earning commissions on MESO purchases made through their links or codes will be required to disclose the commission relationship on every post containing the link or code.

We will publish the model affiliate-disclosure copy on this page before the program launches.

6. Report a post

If a creator has posted about MESO without a clear disclosure of their relationship to us, tell us at disclosures@meso-usa.com. We review every report within 48 hours.
